Bamford has a residential Quaker Community, which is situated in the former Water Board Offices in Water Lane off Station Road. This is at the bottom of the long hill which takes the A 6013 northwards up through the centre of the village.
The Quaker Meeting takes place at 11 a.m. each Sunday in the main Community building. And is open to everyone, including the Community residents.
The community itself has been established for about 20 years, and it runs a variety of national study courses, seminars and retreats, as well as maintaining its own estate.
In addition to its local involvements, the community has a close interest in environmental issues, and in peace -related activities.
