Local churches and the Quakers belong to a Christian unity - based organisation called Christians together. [ In other parts of the country this would be called Churches Together, but the Quakers are not a church in the usual sense].
This organisation brings Bamford Christians together, with both lay and clergy participating, to organise a programme of common activities, which revolves around a Unity Service in January every year.
There are, for example, Christian songs on the Green on the last Sunday of Carnival, a Christian entertainment on Carnival Saturday, a community service at the Anglers rest every November, and at intervals Alpha courses for people wishing to explore the Christian faith. There is also a Songs of Praise in September each year.
Christmas and Easter cards are also distributed to all in the village and wider area.
